We had a few fireworks in class on Sunday morning.
Jason and I got in to a relatively heated discussion.
Bottom line is I handled the situation poorly and owe
each of you an apology.
Jason is a friend who has been like a brother to me.
Over the last couple years Jason and I have debated
many of these issues at length. I love these discussions..
but I didn't want our class time to turn into the Jim and
Jason show.
Jason and I are and will continue to be great friends. We
have worked through this..and our relationship has been
restored (we went mountain biking this morning).
The irony of the whole thing is that one of the main points
of the lesson was that we spend to much time arguing about
stuff and miss the central point of Jesus teaching...
love God..love each other.
2 Timothy 2:23-25 pretty well sums it up:
Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments,
because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant
must not quarrel; he must be kind to everyone, able to teach
not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct...
We will start over again with Movement 1 Jump next week...
Peace to each of you
